Major Changes to Berkshire Hathaway’s Stock Portfolio During Fourth Quarter of 2020

After the market closed today, Berkshire Hathaway filed its SEC 13F which revealed the following major changes to its stock portfolio during the fourth quarter of 2020:

New Positions

Verizon Communications (VZ) —  ($8.6 billion)

Chevron (CVX) — ($4.1 billion)

Marsh & McLennan (MMC) — ($500 million)

 

Additions to Previous Positions

AbbVie (ABBV) — (up 20% to $2.7 billion)

Merck (MRK) — (up 28% to $2.3 billion)

Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY) — (up 11% to $2.1 billion)

Kroger (KR) — (up 34% to $1.1 billion)

T-Mobile US (TMUS) — (up 117% to $700 million)

 

Sale of Positions

Barrick Gold (GOLD) — ($300 million)

M&T Bank (MTB) — ($270 million)

PNC Financial (PNC) — ($210 million)

Pfizer (PFE) — ($135 million)

JPMorgan Chase (JPM) — ($93 million)

 

Reduction of Positions

Apple (AAPL) — (down 6% to $118 billion)

Wells Fargo (WFC) — (down 59% to $1.6 billion)

Suncor Energy (SU) — (down 28% to $230 million)

General Motors (GM) — (down 9% to $3.0 billion)
