Major Changes to Berkshire Hathaway’s Portfolio During the First Quarter of 2021

Berkshire Hathaway released its SEC 13F filing for the first quarter of 2021 after the market closed today.

The major changes were:

Reduced Stakes

(1) Chevron –  $2.5 billion (51% of stake)

(2) Wells Fargo – $2.0 billion (99% of stake)

(3) Merck – $1.0 billion (38% of stake)

(4) Liberty Global – $300 million (81% of stake)

(5) StoneCo Ltd – $250 million (25% of stake)

(6) Abbvie – $250 million (10% of stake)

(7) Axalta – $200 million (41% of stake)

Eliminated Stakes

(1) Synchrony Financial – $700 million

(2) Suncor Energy – $250 million

Additions To Stakes

(1) Kroger  + $800 million (52% of stake)

(2) Marsh and McLennan + $150 million (24% of stake)

New Position

Aon Plc + $900 million
