Update: Urban to Rural Evacuation Planning Tool

The folks at the Western New York Public Health Alliance (WNYPHA) have enhanced their Urban to Rural Evacuation Planning Tool and now have a complete toolkit for public health emergency preparedness planners who are concerned about urban-to-rural evacuations and their impact. The toolkit includes a Rural Preparedness Planning Guide and related reports and webcasts.

I last mentioned this tool in a June 25, 2008, post. My thanks to Tom Briggs, Department of Health Research, NORC at the University of Chicago, for the update.
