Bigger and Better – Terps Take Care Fair 10/3/2018

The Terps Take Care interactive mental health fair is making its second appearance on Wednesday, 10/3/2018 from 11am-2pm on Hornbake Plaza. The fair is an effort to bring people together around the topic of mental health, educate about self-care and mental health resources, reduce stigma and increase awareness across our campus community. We hope to create a more open environment in which people are encouraged to speak about their mental health, praised for seeking help when needed, and respected as whole individuals.

Last year, attendees learned about campus and community resources, explored a variety of different strategies for managing mental health, received free massages, made self-care crafts, entered raffles, and more. This year we expect even more organizations to be involved with more great information and activities.

So far, the following groups have committed to participate:

Alpha Phi Omega – Epsilon Mu Chapter
Black Honors Caucus
CARE to Stop Violence Office
Counseling Center
Department of Behavioral and Community Health, School of Public Health
Graduate Student Life
Help Center
Leadership & Community Service Learning
Massage Envy
Meditation Club
NAACP
Numi Yoga
University Recreation & Wellness
White Lotus Wellness Center
