Undergraduates

I accept undergraduate assistants for pay or academic credit; positions include a combination of routine laboratory maintenance and guided original research. I am particularly looking for students with interests in microbiology or plant biology, ecology, evolution, and bioinformatics (computational biology) and who have more than a year before graduation. Prior laboratory experience or practice with relevant skills (which can include hobbies) is a big plus, as are coding skills. Availability during summer and winter breaks (of course with time off for holidays) is helpful, and students wishing to do field work should have at least a drown-proof level of swimming skills.
