Applied Research Lab for Intelligence and Security

The Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security (ARLIS) at the University of Maryland, College Park, is now accepting applications for the 2024 Research for Intelligence & Security Challenges (RISC) Initiative internship program (June 3–August 9).

Competitively-selected RISC interns (RISCers) work in teams with mentorship from university faculty and government practitioners, tackling real security and intelligence problems hands-on. Work is primarily conducted virtually, with some opportunities for in-person collaboration and in-person project outbriefs presented the final week. Internship participation includes possible sponsorship for a security clearance and brings the opportunity to be considered for future employment with the U.S. government.

U.S. citizenship required.  Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged  to apply for this unique opportunity. The application site will close on Monday, February 5^th, 2024.
