The Federal Advocacy Intern will:
- Research key congressional committees and members of Congress, as well as the cities in their districts.
- Maintain and update data on cities and city leaders for grassroots advocacy campaigns.
- Help create content for NLC’s online publications, website, and other communication vehicles.
- Attend in-person or virtual hearings or briefings on various policy issues and provide a report to legislative staff.
- Support legislative staff at meetings with city leaders, advocacy coalitions, congressional staff, or federal officials.
- Provide administrative support as needed
