From Isabel ’22 PSYC: I am a proud Terp alum who led a somewhat untraditional path through college. I transferred schools, became a parent, and switched gears career-wise. With enormous support and encouragement, I graduated summa cum laude and began a full-time position at NIH as a postbaccalaureate research fellow. I am thrilled to have returned to UMD this fall as a Flagship Fellow in the Neuroscience and Cognitive Science (NACS) doctoral program, where I am currently doing research on sleep and memory in childhood in the Neurocognitive Development Lab. As I am relatively fresh out of the application process myself, I’m eager to provide support to others interested in graduate school and share my experiences.
