Washington, DC undergraduate public affairs internship opportunity for spring 2026

Woodberry Associates is seeking paid interns to join its team of public and government affairs professionals for Spring 2026. Based in Washington, DC, this 12-week, in-person internship offers a hands-on opportunity to explore careers in public affairs, health care, and education policy. Interns are fully integrated into client service teams, gaining practical experience while developing essential professional skills.

Program Highlights:

  • Paid position at $17.95/hour
  • Flexible schedule (about 15–20 hours/week)
  • In-person in Washington, DC
  • Weekly mentorship and professional development sessions
  • Internship runs approximately 12 weeks, beginning mid-January 2026

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a college or university and be at least a rising junior
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize projects and adapt to changing needs
  • Initiative, creativity, and willingness to learn and take feedback
