2026 Orientation staff is now open!
Are you looking for a leadership opportunity that makes a real impact on campus? The Office of Student Orientation and Transition is now accepting applications for several exciting student leadership roles! As part of the team, you’ll help new Terps feel at home and confident as they begin their journey at the University of Maryland. You can apply to be:
- Teaching Assistants (TAs) – Support incoming students in their transition courses and help them navigate their first semester.
- Orientation Advisors – Lead groups of incoming students, answer questions, and share your Maryland experience.
- Orientation Office Assistants – Keep things running smoothly behind the scenes and support staff and visitors in the Orientation Office.
These positions offer valuable experience in leadership, communication, teamwork, and mentorship—all while making a difference in the lives of future Terps.
