Through academic coursework and hands-on experiences, BSOS majors develop the key career competencies below and gain the tools to: 1.) Reflect on how they’ve built these skills, and 2.) Effectively communicate their value to employers across a wide range of industries.
The BSOS Career Ready core competencies below provide a clear framework for understanding what employers value, regardless of your field of study.
- Review the behavioral indicators for each competency and compile a list of your in-class and out-of-class experiences that demonstrate your proficiency in those areas.
