Are you passionate about preventing sexual and relationship violence? Would you like to learn more about and get involved with CARE in preventing power-based violence on campus? If so, apply to CARE’s Violence Intervention Ambassador (VIA) Program!The VIA program is an in-person 11 hour, 4 session training that will equip you with tools to recognize, respond to, and prevent power-based violence on our campus, and in our world.

  • Power and Consent
  • Bystander Intervention
  • Supporting a survivor
  • Social change and student activism
  • Self-Care
  • Ways to get involved with CARE and make a difference on campus!

Who can participate?

  • Any current UMD student!

When and where does it take place?

  • Jimenez Hall
  • Session dates include: Friday, March 7, 1-4:30pm, Tuesday,  March 11, 5-7pm, Monday, March 31, 5-7pm, Friday, April 4, 1-4:30pm
  • Completion of all sessions is mandatory for Certification. A makeup session will be offered for the weekday dates.
