The Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice at Wayne State University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track, academic-year (9-month) Assistant Professor of Teaching to begin in Fall 2025.
Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice/Criminology or related field. A J.D.
alone is not a sufficient qualification for this position. The ideal candidate would be expected to
teach a variety of traditional and online courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for
teaching 4 classes in each of the fall and winter semesters with the possibility of additional
teaching opportunities during summers. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will
contribute to departmental-level service needs.
