Job Description
Texas A&M University-Central Texas (TAMUCT) is a public university in Killeen, Texas, near Fort Cavazos and the Austin area. It offers junior- and senior-level coursework leading to baccalaureate and graduate degrees. The student population at A&M-Central Texas is non-traditional and growing. TAMUCT is a Hispanic-serving institution (HSI) serving over 2,400 students. The TAMUCT Social Sciences department is interdisciplinary, with programs in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Political Science, Sociology, and Anthropology.

The Department of Social Sciences at Texas A&M University-Central Texas (TAMUCT) is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in our Criminal Justice undergraduate and graduate programs. Our program offers four degrees: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Criminal Justice, Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) in Criminal Justice, Master of Science (MS) in Criminal Justice, and Master of Science (MS) in Homeland Security. We are particularly interested in candidates who possess the ability to teach across various subfields within the discipline. The Department of Justice, Law & Criminology in the School of Public Affairs at American University invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track positions in criminology beginning in Academic Year 2025-26. The positions will be at the rank of Assistant Professor. For the first position, we are seeking applicants with substantive expertise in race, ethnicity, and policing. Assistant/Associate Professor | University of South Carolina

Assistant Professor or Associate Professor

The faculty of the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of South Carolina, Columbia campus, invites applications for a 9-month, full time, tenure-track or tenured position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor to begin August 16, 2025. The candidate must demonstrate scholarly expertise in the area of gender-based violence.

A PhD in criminology, criminal justice, or a closely related discipline (e.g., sociology, political science, psychology) must be earned by the time of appointment. Applications from ABDs are also accepted.

The position encompasses three primary responsibilities: research, teaching, and service. The selected candidate will teach two courses each semester. Faculty members are expected to develop an active research agenda centered on gender-based violence. Prospective faculty members are also responsible for contributing to the growth and well-being of the Department, College, and University. This includes service to the professional community and engagement with the broader community.
