CGA currently organizes three recurring events, Coffee Hour, SLICE, and Game Night.
Coffee Hour:
Coffee Hour is held biweekly on Fridays before the department seminar. This is a great chance to catch up with your peers and chat over some coffee, donuts and muffins! This event is open to all graduate students, faculty and staff.
We are currently exploring community funding options. If you or your lab is interested in funding a Coffee Hour event, please contact us!
SLICE:
Our Student Led Innovations in Chemical Engineering events are monthly seminars in which graduate students in the department get a chance to present their research and answer questions for 25 minutes.
This is a great opportunity to showcase your research projects to your peers, practice your presentation skills and add another presentation to your resume! Each event has two presentations which are accompanied by pizza, come join us for our next SLICE event on February 18th!
Game Night:
Game Night is exactly how it sounds, an opportunity for graduate students to meet and unwind from the difficult academic life by playing some game nights (despite how cutthroat some of those board games can be). This event is currently held monthly. Feel free to bring your own board games! Come join us for our next Game Night on January 30th from 4-6pm.
