Dr. Jessica Enoch is an associate professor of English at the University of Maryland and the author of Domestic Occupations: Spatial Rhetorics and Women’s Work (Southern Illinois UP, 2019) and Refiguring Rhetorical Education: Women Teaching African American, Native American, and Chicano/a Students, 1865-1911 (Southern Illinois UP, 2008). She edited Burke in the Archives: Using the Past to Transform the Future of Burkean Studies with Dana Anderson (U of South Carolina P, 2013), and Mestiza Rhetorics: An Anthology of Mexicana Activism in the Spanish-Language Press, 1887-1922 with Cristina Ramírez (Southern Illinois University Press, 2020). Her work has appeared in College English, College Composition and Communication, Rhetoric Society Quarterly, Rhetoric Review, Composition Studies, and Peitho. She has served on the Executive Board for the Conference on College Composition and Communication, the Rhetoric Society of America, and the Coalition of Feminist Scholars in the History of Rhetoric and Composition.

Dr. Enoch’s favorite part of the UMD community is working with and learning from the brilliant graduate students in English and Communication.
