Bio:
Ching-En received his B.S in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University and his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland. During the time he spent as a M.S. student, he studied atomic layer deposition of Ni thin films for spacecraft applications. Besides research, he is a big fan of detective fiction and mystery novels.

 

Antara Bhowmick

Bio:
Antara is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at UMD. As an undergraduate student, she gained research experience in industrial water treatment by coagulation, adsorption and ion exchange. She is currently working on alkane dehydrogenation in membrane reactors and is co-advised by Professor Dongxia Liu.  Antara enjoys travelling to new places and listening music.

 

Yutong Wu

Bio:
Yutong is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Maryland-College Park. During his undergraduate studies at Fudan University, he gained research experience in the synthesis and performance characterization of two-dimensional polymers. Currently, he is engaged in research on CMS hollow fiber membranes applied for biogas separation. Outside of research work, he is fond of reading mystery novels and cooking.

 

Manisha

Bio:
Manisha is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. During her undergraduate years, she worked on a research project titled “Statistical Optimization of Chromium Adsorption Studies”, where she honed her skills in Minitab and MATLAB alongside adsorption studies and kinetics analysis. She is currently developing CMS hollow fiber membranes for gas separations. Beyond academics and research, Manisha enjoys reading thriller novels, listening to music, traveling, and dancing, all of which add to her sense of adventure and passion for life.

 

Tashfiqul Islam

Bio:
Tashfiqul is a Masters student in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. Tashfiqul is looking to develop membranes and gain expertise in the field of membrane separations. Besides research, he enjoys traveling and experiencing local cuisines and cultures.

 

Joel Daniel

Bio:

Nathanael Brown

Bio:
Nathanael is a senior at Eleanor Roosevelt High School and is an intern for the Sustainable Separations Lab. He enjoys doing outdoor activities such as hiking and camping and watching YouTube videos on food and technology. He is a boy scout and is currently working on becoming an eagle.
