Greg Abel to Become CEO of Berkshire on January 1, 2026
Someone had to replace Warren Buffett. In Buffett’s opinion Greg Abel was the best person. The primary role of a CEO is to allocate capital. Abel will be deciding on acquisitions of entire companies, but Ted Weschler, Todd Combs, and possibly new hires will be picking stocks.
