Job hunting after graduation? The Career Planning Team at the Feller Center support continues—even after you cross the stage.
Graduation might feel like the end of the college journey—but when it comes to career support, it is far from over.
The Career Planning Team at the Feller Center in University of Maryland’s College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS) remains a resource for you even after you’ve earned your degree. If you’re a recent graduate navigating the job market, you are not on your own. BSOS alumni have full access to Feller Center career services for up to one year after graduation.
What You Can Expect
Whether you are polishing your résumé, exploring career paths, or preparing for interviews, the Feller Center’s career advisors are ready to help. Services include:
- One-on-one career advising appointments
- Résumé and cover letter reviews
- Job search strategy sessions
- Networking and LinkedIn support
- Graduate school application guidance
Not sure what’s next? That’s okay, too. The team can help you clarify your goals and build a realistic plan—even if your path feels uncertain.
How to Get Started
Alumni can schedule appointments through TerpEngage just like current students, or reach out directly via email at bsoscareers@umd.edu. It helps to mention your graduation date and what kind of support you’re seeking.
You’re Not Starting from Scratch
Remember: You’ve already built a strong foundation through your coursework, internships, student orgs, and more. Now, the Feller Center can help you translate those experiences into professional opportunities.
Not Ready to Dive In Just Yet?
That’s okay. Even if you are not quite ready for an appointment, you should at least take a moment to stay connected. A great first step: join the BSOS LinkedIn group—a space specifically for BSOS students, alumni, and professionals:
It is a simple way to stay in the loop, see who’s hiring, and find people in your field.
