📍 Dr. John Blaxland – Professor of International Security and Intelligence Studies at the Australian National University, and a former Australian military intelligence officer.
His resume? Wildly impressive:
- Served as Chief Intelligence Staff Officer (J2) at HQ Joint Operations Command
- Deployed with the U.S. 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit
- Former defense attaché to Thailand and Myanmar
- Author of over a dozen books on security and military history
- First Australian awarded a U.S. DoD Minerva Research Grant
- Earned his PhD in War Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada
- Taught and led programs at ANU in intelligence, Southeast Asian security, and climate-related risks
He brings global insight and practical intel experience—and he is also offering guidance on how you can do research abroad in Australia.
