
Appalachian Conservation Corps, in partnership with the National Park Service, is hiring a GIS Individual Placement with the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail. Our intern will help organize and acquire geological and paleontological resources GIS data. The GIS IP will have a focus on paleontology and/or geology projects.
This 25-week internship will run from Nov. 3rd, 2025 to April 24th, 2026 and is based out of Williamsport, MD.

Pay is $720/week and members will receive a $365 budget for professional development, as well as free health/vision/dental/mental health benefits. After completing the term, members will receive a $3,697.50AmeriCorps Segal Education Award to pay back federal loans or for additional schooling. They will also receive eligibility for the Public Land Corps Hiring Authority upon successful completion – noncompetitive hiring status for two years when applying for federal positions.
