Madrid Here We Come!

Hi Everyone! My name is Mariana and I am a junior double majoring in finance and marketing. This spring semester, I am studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. I chose to go to Spain since I am fluent in Spanish and I love the culture there. The school that I’m going to be attending is called Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. This school was named after one of their kings back in the 1700s.

My program starts Monday, but classes don’t start until the 24th. I’m so excited to begin this journey and to immerse myself in the culture. My apartment is right in the middle of Madrid right next to Plaza Mayor, which is one of the main attractions to see in Madrid. Everything is walking distance so around 20 minutes maximum. I am so excited to meet new people and start my semester in Madrid.

I hope to improve my Spanish, and to meet a lot of local students so that I can truly get the Spanish experience. The best is yet to come.
