The MWRRC supports a number of summer graduate research awards every year. Any student enrolled in a water-resources related Master’s or Doctoral program in a Maryland institution of higher education is eligible to apply. Graduate awards are funded through the Center’s 104(B) grant, and are subject to the same matching funds requirements: $1 non-federal match for every $1 in federal funds requested. The standard summer award amount is $8,000. The Center can remit the fellowship directly to the student or work with the student, advisor, and department to make other arrangements.
Note: Due to the expected timing of the FY 2024 USGS Award, MWRRC will not be able to support any Summer 2024 awards. However, applications may be submitted for Summer 2025.
