Just in time for the fall recruiting season, QUEST Corporate delivered on their signature event, the 7th Annual QUEST Networking Event! This year, the event hosted over 25 corporate partners and 100 QUESTees hungry for job and internship opportunities. Students got the chance to meet one-on-one and develop key relationships with potential future employers. Alumni also got the chance to revisit QUEST, representing their current companies to speak with current students about their experiences in their full-time roles. Though the networking night remained virtual this year, QUEST Corporate helped students feel extra connected to these companies through their Alumni Mentorship program last semester and networking night training session this fall.
The companies in attendance varied from government contractors such as Northrop Grumman to Big 4 accounting firms such as KPMG and EY. My 490H client, Oceaneering, also made an appearance. After receiving such great recommendations from their student consultants, I’m sure they want to bring on more QUEST students for full-time opportunities! I spoke to Cohort 37 student Collin Marcian about his experience at his first-ever QUEST Corporate event and he said, “The event was extremely personal and allowed time to establish a connection with each recruiter. It allowed insight into internship positions and helped me decide which industries I’m most interested in. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!”
I was also lucky enough to speak to QUEST Corporate co-lead and Cohort 33 student Ally Merwitz. When asked about her takeaways from the event, Ally recounted: “QUEST Corporate was thrilled to see how many students came out to interact with our corporate partners. Our primary goal is to support the QUEST community in figuring out what their career trajectory might look like. I think that this Networking event is one of the best ways that we can support our mission and help students think about their next step for the summer or full-time. Stay tuned for more events and initiatives that we will be hosting throughout the year to help support our fellow QUESTees!”
Though the Networking Event has passed, the corporate opportunities of the semester have just begun. Good luck to all of our QUESTees navigating recruiting season- we can’t wait to see where you all end up!
