Meet the 2022-2023 QUESTPress Staff

College Park falls bring everything from pumpkin spice lattes to football tailgates back to campus! We at QUESTPress are excited to be back in full swing and keep the community updated on all things QUEST! As a quick reminder, QUESTPress is QUEST’s student-run publication, released digitally once a month. This year, we are lucky to have a team of six extremely talented writers, who you can read a bit more about below!

For those of you who didn’t have a chance to read our last issue, the new Editors-in-Chief this year are Sona Chudamani and Andrew Sien.

Starting off with me, my name is Sona Chudamani, and I am a junior computer science major in Cohort 37. Outside of QUESTPress, I am the Head TA for Girls who Code and a research fellow in the engineering and physics departments. I joined QUESTPress in Fall 2021, convinced specifically by one of the previous Editors-In-Chief: Tanu Kulkarni. She was very persuasive, and so were her freshly baked brownies :). Being part of QUESTPress has been such a rewarding experience because you get to give back to the community, and I have always loved that aspect of the different student organizations. So excited to be one of the EICs this year!

Andrew Sien of Cohort 36 is a senior accounting and information systems major. He joined QUESTPress in Spring 2022 as a staff writer. Aside from QUEST, Andrew is the president of College Mentors for Kids, a national nonprofit organization that brings students from Title I schools in the community to campus and holds activities that revolve around higher education, career development, culture, diversity, and community service. He is also a TA, tour guide, and involved in Greek life.

Brianna Mathieu is a junior in Cohort 37, majoring in Computer Science. Aside from QUESTPress, Brianna has gained a lot of writing experience and skills through her involvement with Maryland’s HerCampus, a publication geared towards women on college campuses. She is also a part of CHAARG, a health and fitness community on campus. Outside of writing, Brianna loves running, drawing, cooking, baking, and anything outdoors! Over the pandemic, she worked on running an online vintage shop!

Abby Wexler is a Cohort 37 junior majoring in Finance and Operations Management & Business Analytics. Aside from QUEST, Abby is the VP of Programming within her sorority, Alpha Epsilon Phi, and is a Co-Project Manager for TAMID, which is one of the consulting organizations within the Smith School. Something Abby is looking forward to this year is going on QUEST’s Winter Abroad Trip to Vietnam and Singapore.

We are also super excited to add two new writers to our staff this year!

Annaika Taneja of Cohort 39 is a sophomore Computer Science student. Aside from QUESTPress, she works on the sponsorship team for Technica and is a member of the Association for Women in Computing. One fun fact about Annaika is that she loves listening to music in other languages, specifically French, Spanish, and Portuguese! Some of her favorite artists include Angèle, Bad Bunny, and Anitta.

Ananya Khanna of Cohort 39 is a sophomore International Business major. Prior to joining our staff, Ananya was a writer for Girl’s Life, where she wrote book reviews and summer/fashion related articles. Aside from QUEST, she is a big in SASA, the South Asian Student Association and an exec board member of AMA, the American Marketing Association. Fun fact: Ananya has watched tv shows in over ten different languages and understands four languages!
