Although finals season is in full swing, there is something we can all look forward to: Winter Break. Let’s see what some of our QUESTees will be up to this break.
Jack Karakashian of Cohort 41 is going on an exciting trip to Spain with his roommate. They are going for eleven days to Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and Seville. They plan to fully immerse themselves in the rich culture of Spain and hope to attend a few museums while they are there. Karakashian also mentioned that they are arriving the day before a big Spanish holiday, Three Kings Day, which celebrates the Magi visiting Christ. While in Seville, they are hoping to attend a La Liga soccer game. Karakashian is a firm believer in exploring and experiencing the world, especially while he’s young. Have fun in Spain, Jack!
Arav Patel from Cohort 39 is going to have it all this Winter Break. First, Patel will be going on a three-day ski trip filled with s’mores and bonfires in Vermont, where he’ll be staying at an Airbnb with an indoor pool. Afterward, Patel is going to soak up the sun in Hawaii. He will also be in Hawaii for most of the summer, where he and his sister are going to be visiting his cousin who recently moved there. He is extremely excited to be spending most of his break in Oahu, Hawaii, where he can relax, enjoy the sun, and spend time with his family. Enjoy the well-deserved island vacation, Arav!
Our very own QUESTPress Co-Lead, Sona Chudamani, will be visiting Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her parents and older sister. Chudamani will be visiting Florida from December 22nd to December 25th. “I really miss traveling with my sister, and my dad loves the beaches, so I’m sure it’ll be a great time!” She hopes that while in Florida, she can enjoy the holiday lights and maybe even snorkel with some turtles! Enjoy, Sona!
Finally, 29 students, along with Professor Ashley and QUEST Program Coordinator Emily Marks, will be visiting Japan and Korea over break on QUEST’s winter abroad trip. More to come on that when QUESTPress returns in the new year, but we hope all of the students have a wonderful trip! Be sure to follow QUEST on Instagram to keep up with the winter break study abroad trip in January.
We hope everyone enjoys their winter break plans! See you soon!
