The Capitol Hill Lecture Series is a new initiative by the UMD Department of Government and Politics, and cosponsored by the Center for Democracy and Civic Engagement and the Maryland Democracy Initiative. The series is intended to bring Maryland members of Congress to campus so that they can provide a lecture or have a conversation with the faculty, the students, and the local community.

The goal is to educate these groups on all of the wonderful things the Maryland members are doing in Congress, and the members can also talk about the challenges they face as well.

Our guest speaker for the first iteration of this event will be U.S. Congressman Glenn Ivey.

We hope that you’ll be able to join us!
