Welcome to the new academic year!

The Bahá’í Chair for World Peace is looking forward to another exciting academic year. We invite you to stop by our office and learn more about us and our program’s focus on advancing interdisciplinary discourse on global peace.

Professor Mahmoudi and the Bahá’í Chair team

Our program is designed to explore some of the most important and complex issues faced by our nation and the world. We are interested in finding solutions to the social problems that are obstacles to the creation of a more peaceful world.

We encourage you to visit our website for news and announcements about our upcoming events. Our annual lecture scheduled for September 20, 2018, features Professor Jabari Mahiri from UC Berkeley, whose presentation is on “Deconstructing Race/Reconstructing Difference: Beyond the U.S. Paradigm.” The lecture is free and open to everyone. We hope you will join us.

In October we have scheduled a two-day conference on “The Future of Humanity: The Challenge of Global Peace and Security.” For speakers and topics please refer to our website. The conference is also free and open to the public.

We wish you every success during this academic year and look forward to seeing you at our events.
