Presentation: The Opioid Crisis; Human Trafficking Fueled by Money Laundering

A presentation on the role of forensic accounting in the fight against the human trafficking and opioid crisis. The presentation will include an introduction to the humanitarian side of human trafficking by UMD’s Safe Center, followed by a glance into the technical side of money laundering and fraud related activities to carry out further crimes fueling the human trafficking and opioid crisis, which will be led by Stout, an international investment bank and advisory firm. *Registration is not required.
