Future Leaders in Public Service
Internship Program

This image shows an image of interns smiling with a politician. The image is filtered through a teal blue color. There is the title of the program over that.

Our nation’s current and future challenges make it imperative that government identify, recruit and retain the next generation of public servants.

Executive branch agencies are working to address this issue by developing paid
internship programs that provide students with valuable work experience, an expanded professional network and a better understanding of the impact of public service.

The Future Leaders in Public Service Internship Program supports this critical work. Managed by the Partnership for Public Service, the program offers students the opportunity to apply their educational training to federal service and brings diverse young talent into government.

Undergraduate, graduate and professional students from across all academic disciplines are welcome to apply.

The Future Leaders program offers numerous opportunities for candidates to pursue. Explore the available opportunities for Summer 2024 below. Candidates may only apply to one opportunity per application cycle.

Applications to join the program’s Fall 2024 cohort are now open through May 24, 2024. Apply today at gogovernment.org/fellowship/future-leaders-in-public-service-internship-program.
