The Supreme Court of the United States Police Department is currently seeking students for the Spring 2024 semester. Credit will be granted for this internship to eligible students through the CCJS department after the proper paperwork has been processed. All application materials should be submitted by 12:00PM on Friday, November 3, 2023. Interviews for selected candidates will be scheduled on campus in early to mid-November. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain valuable experience and contribute to the community while working alongside professionals in law enforcement. MPD internships allow students to explore all aspects of law enforcement, enhancing their understanding of the multi-faceted responsibilities within the criminal justice system. Participants are introduced to diverse career opportunities, providing valuable insights should they decide to pursue a profession in or alongside law enforcement.

Now that you have settled into the semester, the University Career Center wants to hear about your internship experiences between Fall 2022 and Summer 2023! Learning more about your experiences can help shape the future of internships for your fellow Terps. Plus, there are some fantastic perks for participating!

Child Advocacy Fellowship

Applications for the 2024 cohort of the Karabelle Pizzigati Initiative Fellows are opening TODAY! This program is an opportunity for undergraduate students who are interested in child advocacy to obtain the skills and connections needed to begin their career in an important reform area. In addition to required coursework, fellows will participate in paid internships and receive a $3,000 stipend. Fellows will work closely with the program director to identify and prepare for the fellowship opportunity in the children’s advocacy field.

Applications are due by November 8th, 2023, and the cohort will begin in January 2024. Applicants must be currently enrolled or accepted into an undergraduate program at the University of Maryland, College Park.
