Overview /Objective:

The NFL Global Security Operations Center (NFL GSOC) at NFL Films in Mt Laurel, New Jersey, is the NFL Security Department’s central hub for monitoring, collecting, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence on physical and cyber threats to help decision-makers protect, and resolve threats to NFL interests worldwide, The Operations Coordinator position will assist GSOC personnel with managing and coordinating a range of critical functions, including request intake, investigative support, travel risk management, and project management for security-related initiatives, particularly those supporting major League events domestically and internationally. This role also involves providing support for physical security technology systems and responding to security incidents impacting the League and its stakeholders.

This is a long term contract role with the NFL.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the intake, prioritization, and fulfillment of formal and informal requests for research, general inquiries, incident-related information, and analytic support from NFL business units, club and stadium security, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage shared email inbox and incident management accounts to ensure timely responses and appropriate information dissemination.
  • Monitor and evaluate incoming intelligence and reports from various internal and external sources to identify potential security threats, trends, or incidents requiring further attention.
  • Manage and monitor physical security technology systems (including video management, access control, shot detection, camera analytics, mass notification, and incident management systems) for NFL personnel and assets.
  • Assist GSOC Management in the preparation of regular performance reports, including the collection and analysis of relevant data.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of GSOC documentation, including distribution lists, product templates, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and policy documents.
  • Manage and update databases related to incident tracking, security contacts, and other relevant operational information to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Act as a primary point of contact and liaison between the GSOC and internal departments for security-related requests.
  • Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) research to gather, analyze, and synthesize publicly available information in support of investigations, risk assessments, and due diligence requests.
  • Support the development and execution of the League’s Travel Risk Management Program by monitoring global security developments, assessing travel-related risks, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure employee safety and compliance with travel policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by GSOC Management or Security Department leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear and concise emails, memos, and presentations. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Proven experience conducting thorough research from various sources to support projects and operational needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.   

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 
  • 2-3 years of demonstrable experience in a security operations center, command center, or similar environment. Experience as an administrative assistant or project manager with exposure to security operations will also be considered.
  • Experience working with security technology platforms (e.g., video management systems, access control systems, incident management systems).

Travel: Travel is expected to be minimal outside of specified circumstances such as training opportunities, conferences, or occasional support of off-site League events. 

Terms /Expected Hours of Work: This position is expected to work a standard 40-hour week. However, due to the operational nature of the NFL Global Security Operations Center, occasional accessibility via phone and email during off-hours may be required. Personnel in this role may also be requested to work weekends and at times operate outside of normal business hours to support League games and events.

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials, or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Position Summary: The Legal Advocate provides first contact to victims of intimate partner violence seeking legal services, including protective orders, peace orders, and divorce and custody representation. The Legal Advocate provides legal information, referrals, and advocacy to clients. The Legal Advocate conducts an intake with each client, obtaining demographic information, a description of recent and prior abuse incidents, and details about the relief requested in the client’s legal case, conducts a lethality assessment and creates a safety plan with each client. The Legal Advocate provides referrals to social services, housing and shelter assistance, mental health care services, and other crisis intervention services. The Legal Advocate participates in the identification of systemic obstacles for victims of intimate partner violence, and assists in formulating a plan and strategies for the removal of those obstacles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intakes and provide legal information, referrals, and advocacy services to victims of intimate partner violence.
  • Conduct a lethality assessment and help every client create an individualized safety plan.
  • Assist victims of intimate partner violence to complete petitions for protective and peace orders, modifications, extensions, divorce and custody complaints and answers, and other legal documents.
  • Explain how to file for a protective/peace order and how to file criminal charges.
  • Provide information to clients in order to allow clients to represent themselves in protective and peace order proceedings.
  • Present client information to POARP attorneys and advocate for representation of clients in those cases; to divorce/custody attorneys and advocate for representation of clients in their family law cases.
  • Advocate orally and in writing on behalf of victims of intimate partner violence in various environments.
  • Assist in trial preparation under the supervision of an attorney.
  • Accurately conduct conflict checks for persons seeking services from the Legal Clinic.
  • Act as a liaison between clients who are witnesses in criminal cases and the local State’s Attorney’s Offices.
  • Accompany clients to court for civil and criminal proceedings.
  • Travel to all courthouse offices to assist attorneys by conducting intakes, answering phones, and other duties as assigned.
  • Complete requirements of all grants, including written reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update electronic shared calendar regarding client intakes and upcoming protective and peace order proceedings.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of family and intimate partner violence law.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise interns and volunteers to provide victim advocacy services.
  • Conduct follow-up surveys and research inquiries regarding efficacy of representation service.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to courthouse and HRM offices
  • Provide back-up to paralegals and secretaries.
  • Create and maintain manual of referrals and resources for use by the agency.
  • Assist in fundraising efforts as needed.
  • Participate in trainings (in person and online) to stay current on intimate partner violence issues and advocacy.
  • Publicize and educate victims of intimate partner violence about services offered; educate, train and provide technical assistance to Clinic staff, probation officers, community organizations, court personnel and other agencies as requested, including weekends and evenings.
  • Develop and maintain liaisons with court personnel, community, criminal justice system and other agencies that assist victims of intimate partner violence.

Legal Research Internship | International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children



ICMEC Internship

The Legal Research Interns will support the Director of The Koons Family Institute by writing, editing, and conducting comprehensive research and analysis on global policies and laws for a variety of publications, reports, white papers, and other projects. Interns may focus on topics such as child sexual abuse material, online grooming, missing children, child sex trafficking, child sexual abuse and exploitation, sextortion, age verification for online platforms, and other related topics. Interns specific projects may include engaging with policy experts within the technology industry and contributing to important discussions surrounding digital safety for children; reviewing global laws and regulations related to age verification and analyzing age verification measures across various countries to identify trends, best practices, and gaps in policy; and summarizing findings into briefs and reports that highlight trends, key insights, and provide policy recommendations for enhancing age verification processes. Interns also may utilize foreign language skills and regional areas of expertise.

Specific requirements by internship position:

Legal Research Interns must:

  • Be available to work 12 to 15 weeks, at least 15 hours per week (20+ hours preferred) during the Fall or Spring semesters; or
  • Be available to work 8 to 12 weeks, at least 20 hours per week (30+ hours preferred) during the Summer term;
  • Undergo initial and periodic background checks; and
  • Have completed undergraduate studies (working toward a Master’s or Juris Doctorate degree strongly preferred). We will consider students in their sophomore, junior, or senior year of undergraduate studies with relevant experience.

*Internships will be completed primarily remotely, with the possibility of limited in-person interaction in the ICMEC office in Alexandria, Virginia, if conditions allow.

Membership is open to CCJS majors who have completed at least 45 total credits with at least 12 credits in CCJS courses. Applicants must have completed at least one semester at UMD.  Undergraduate Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and a minimum CCJS major grade point average of a 3.30.

Applications are processed once at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.  Once a student has been accepted, they will receive a membership card, certificate, and pin. Alpha Phi Sigma generally meets a couple of times a semester and has a variety of student activities during the fall and spring semesters.
