
Analyst, Policy, Integrity & Compliance
Location: New York, New York or Boulder, ColoradoThe Senior Coordinator, Policy, Integrity & Compliance is responsible for supporting Major League Baseball’s integrity and policy efforts related to sports betting, assisting with confidential and highly sensitive investigations related to baseball personnel, and assisting with other compliance, security, and business development matters as needed.
Responsibilities: Assist with research and regulatory efforts related to gamblingEnhance MLB’s educational and awareness initiativesSupport MLB’s integrity and policy efforts related to sports betting and other gambling verticalsHelp identify suspicious betting activity on baseball events; and clean, analyze, and maintain large datasets from various sourcesCreate ad-hoc reports analyzing broad trends or specific eventsAssist with investigations related to sports betting. Collaborate with and support MLB’s compliance, security, and business development teams as neededMonitor gambling industry (including sports betting, fantasy, prediction markets, etc.) trends and developmentsProvide additional support to MLB’s policy, integrity, and compliance efforts as needed
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in a highly numerate major (statistics, mathematics, computer science, etc.) or relevant experience with data or analyticsExperience with SQL, Python, and/or RExperience working with large datasets and data warehousesExperience with machine learning, anomaly detection, or other relevant working experience is preferredKnowledge of sports betting and the gambling industry is strongly preferredStrong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft WordFluency in Spanish (oral and written) is a plusThis position requires in-office attendance five days per week based out of the New York City or Boulder office

Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 (Base Salary) + Bonus |
