2025 Kendall Service Awards – Nominations now open!

CCJSers, consider nominating a CCJS@USG staff or faculty member. We love to see our folks recognized!!


Cliff and Camille Kendall, philanthropists and long-time supporters of The Universities at Shady Grove, generously established annual awards that recognize faculty and staff who have performed exceptionally in supporting student success at the Universities at Shady Grove.

The Kendall Awards committee, on behalf of the USG Board of Advisors, invites you to submit your nomination(s) for any individuals that you feel have had a profound impact in the following areas:

·      Excellence in Teaching

·      Outstanding Academic Program Leadership

·      Outstanding Service to Students

·      Outstanding Service to the USG Community

Each award recipient will receive a cash award, and their names and pictures prominently displayed at the Priddy Library. The award will be officially presented at an upcoming campus-wide event.

The Law Office of Krum, Gergely & Oates, LLC. in Rockville is looking to hire a Front Desk Legal Assistant. They are seeking candidates who are fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken and written).

This is a full-time position, but they are open to working around school schedules for the right candidate. This role is a great opportunity for students looking to gain experience in the legal field while continuing their education.

Macklin Public Speaking Program – Spring 2025 Application!

Dear USG Students, 

Do you want to gain confidence in your public speaking abilities and build your leadership skills? Are you nervous speaking in front of others? Do you want to practice your oral communication skills in an encouraging and safe environment?

Complete a short application for the USG Macklin Public Speaking Program! The program will meet five times during the Spring 2025 semester (in the month of February and March) to practice and improve upon your oral communication skills. Each session is one hour and will take place on the USG campus. You will earn a public speaking certification at the completion of the program.
