Join us on Saturday, April 26, from 10 AM – 4 PM for Maryland Day, the University’s biggest community celebration of the year! The Department of Geographical Sciences will be hosting a table on McKeldin Mall with interactive activities and giveaways—and we still need volunteers!

Advising is MANDATORY for all GEOG/ENSP students, regardless of Concentration, GPA, or credits earned.

Please review your ENSP advising requirements and advisor contact information HERE.

Remember:

  • Advising Appointment Something you schedule with your advisor prior to your assigned registration date/appointment. During your advising appointment, you will discuss which classes you will take in the fall. You will also get your advising block removed, making you eligible to register
  • Registration Date/Appointment The date/time you are eligible to log into Testudo and register for classes on your own (you can’t register unless advising is satisfied first and your block is removed!)

Public, private, and non-profit organizations will attend this recruiting/networking event to fill internship and full-time positions in the fields of GIS, conservation, sustainability, environmental policy, and environmental research.

Deadline Extension for Harper Award & Undergraduate Research Paper Award

We are extending the application deadlines for the Harper Award for Exceptional Writing and the Undergraduate Research Paper Award! If you have not yet submitted, this is your chance to apply for these departmental awards, which recognize outstanding undergraduate work in geographical sciences and come with a monetary prize.
