Preparing to Leave

Hi all! My name is Erica Chun. I’m a sophomore finance and mathematics double major at the University of Maryland. In just a couple days, I will be on my way to Manchester, England to study at the Alliance Manchester Business School.

I’m super excited to have this opportunity and be able to visit England. I’ve never been to any part of Europe before and I’ve always had the desire to see it. I’m also hoping that this experience will broaden my global outlook and allow me to understand cultures with a different view. Although I’m extremely excited, I am also a little nervous and anxious. I’m very used to coming home for a weekend at least once a month, so I am afraid I might get a little homesick. But I am sure that will pass and I will have an amazing time while abroad.

I hope to make the most of my experience and I can’t wait to see what Manchester has in store for me!
