DAY 9 – Pricewaterhouse Coopers, DHL eCommerce and Citi China

Our final day of visits in China included meetings with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, DHL eCommerce and Citi China.

During our visit with DHL, we learned that the journey in China starts at the marketplace. DHL focuses on cross-border e-commerce, a trend considered to be one of the fastest growth opportunities in retail. In China, DHL supports the manufacturing sector and the growing base of Chinese online retailers while.  As Chinese Cross-Border merchants rely heavily on market places, DHL develops efficient and reliable logistics services to meet the needs of merchants and online retailers. Overall, we learned about trends, characteristics and projections of the cross-border e-commerce market and how it’s transforming the trading structure around the world and in China.
