Places to relax and barter in the city of harbours.

There are loads of interesting places in Sydney, each offering its own unique atmosphere. One of those places is Darling Harbor, which is located right outside of our apartment. Darling Harbor is amazing and has so much to offer in terms of entertainment. Aside from a beautiful view of the water, events are frequently held there such as the vivid festival. This festival included extravagant light shows, and went on for our first few weeks at Sydney, offering an incredible experience with great food places all around to grab something to eat while you watch.

Towels from Paddys Market

Another great place in Sydney is Paddy’s market, which is a great place to pick up anything you may need in Sydney. There are stands with loads of different items, from themed t shirts, to towels, to various spices and foods that you may need for cooking at a cheaper price than anywhere else in the city. I would recommend for people to visit Paddy’s because it has a huge assortment of things that you can get to bring back for people at home, at a much more affordable price.

Central Station

Last but not least, another one of my favorite spots in Sydney is Central Station. Coming from New York, I can get a bit homesick at times. However, the layout at central station takes me backhome, and reminds me of Grand Central Terminal in the city. Central is great because it is very open, has a few food places inside of it, and can take you to pretty much anywhere you need to go in the city. For different events, it is usually decorated with things like arches of balloons to make the atmosphere more festive. Additionally, it connects to the light rail, which takes you directly on a path to both Paddy’s market and Darling Harbor.

Overall, Sydney is full of great places and is fun to just walk around and explore. I find myself constantly finding new interesting places, and there is always something to do here. Like New York, the city never sleeps!
