Spain: The Rendezvous
I arrived at our hotel in Barcelona at around 11am. Only a few students like myself arrived early, so we decided to hang out and walk around the city due to our curiosity. While we were strangers at first, it eventually turned into a companionship as the adventure of the city brought us closer together. We saw a few Gaudi architecture, noticed the differences and similarities of Maryland and Spain, and ventured on through the city with an open mind and sense of curiosity. We found a plaza that we found to be relaxing to eat at and returned to our hotel to only find more students getting acquainted in the city of Barcelona. Since me and two other students got our feet wet here in Barcelona, we were able to guide the rest of the arriving students on where to satisfy their hunger after long flights. It was such a pleasant moment to see us all connect and build that relationship with each other all because of our curiosity and desire to explore the wonderful city of Barcelona. This city has already brought us together on the very first day. It will be exciting to see where we end up by the end of the course.
