The inaugural UMD Disability Community Graduation Celebration will take place on Friday, May 9th 4:30pm-6:30pm in the Baltimore Room of STAMP.
This event will serve as a celebration of the disability community on campus and of the contributions and achievements of self-identified disabled graduating students (no medical documentation or proof of diagnosis is required to participate in this event). The event will feature a speaker, student artists/performers, awards, and recognition of each participant to come up to the stage. Participants will receive a Disability Community Graduation Celebration pin that they can wear with their graduation regalia. Participants are encouraged but not required to wear their cap/gown/etc. to this event.
Refreshments will be provided following the programming. This event will be fragrance free and we ask that attendees refrain from using perfumes/sprays/etc. This event will be available to watch/join virtually (a link will be sent out to all signed-up email addresses before the event).
