The Center for International Development and Conflict Management (CIDCM) and the Department of Government and Politics invite you to a special workshop featuring Joel Wasserman and Kateryna Sporysh, co-founders of Katya’s Medicine, a humanitarian organization based in Lviv, Ukraine.

Joel Wasserman, a translator, editor, and country specialist who has been working in Ukraine since 2018, and Kateryna Sporysh, a former journalist in Kyiv, will discuss their efforts to deliver vital medications to civilians across Ukraine and manage a water filter distribution program for the American NGO For Peace.

This workshop will be on Monday, September 30, in Chincoteague Hall Room 2113 at 11 am.

This workshop offers a unique opportunity for students, faculty, and researchers to gain insight into the ecosystem of volunteer networks and organizations that sustained Ukraine’s defense and who are providing support to Ukraine’s frontline communities.
