This week, Travis Dietz was awarded a Council of Ionizing Radiation Measurements and Standards student grant award for his work on the extraction of uranium from seawater using radiation-grafted fabrics. The award will cover Travis’s attendance at the council’s annual meeting at the National Institute of Standards and Technology the week of April 26th. Travis will be presenting a short five minute presentation of his work as well as a poster during the conference.
