IAP Summer Discovery – Job Opportunity!
Apply to be an IAP Summer Discovery leader! Summer Discovery is a 3-week, residential program for incoming, first-year IAP students to be introduced to various elements of college and the campus before the start of the fall semester.
Discovery Leaders will receive 3 weeks of on-campus housing, an on-campus dining plan, and a $2,500 stipend. To apply, please submit a resume and cover letter to Chelsea Cesaro-Sanchez at ccesaro@umd.edu by Thursday

You will help our criminal justice team roll back unconstitutional overcriminalization, restore accountability for police and prosecutors who violate people’s rights, and challenge the scourge of plea‐driven mass adjudication. As an intern in Cato’s Project on Criminal Justice, you will work with leading scholars and activists on researching legal briefs, responding to the many injustices perpetrated by the criminal justice system, and supporting legislative outreach efforts.

The annual Career & Internship Fair, hosted by the University Career Center, provides BSOS students and alumni with an opportunity to meet with employers to discuss internship, full-time and part-time employment opportunities. Business professional attire is requested. Employers of interest for CCJS majors will attend on Friday the 23rd.
Some employers attending include: DEA, Community Action Council of Howard County, Supreme Court of the United States Police, U.S. Secret Service, ATF, Maryland Judiciary, CIA, and Sheppard Pratt.
And USG is offering a FREE shuttle bus to take you and bring you back to USG. Follow the instructions below to reserve your seat on the shuttle:

The Voyager Scholarship, administered by the Obama Foundation and supported by AIRBNB founder Brian Chesky, supports students planning careers in public service by providing up to $50,000 for college costs and transformative travel experiences. The Voyager Scholarship is for students who are Sophomores in Spring 2024, who have demonstrated financial need, have a GPA of at least 3.0, and plan to pursue careers in public service.
