Spring Break in Style- from Miami to Madrid

With an abundance of homework and exams, spring break was a nice time for everyone to rest and recharge. For some, that included going on trips, ranging from the beach to another country!

Amod Mathur (Cohort 33) and Rohit Tiwari (Cohort 36) took this time to go on a trip to Rome and Madrid! When asked about the trip, Mathur said, “Visiting a bunch of historical landmarks and places was really awesome, like the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Vatican City in Italy and Plaza Mayor, Prado Museum, Royal Palace, and Parque del Retiro in Spain.” Since Mathur had never been to Europe before, that was his reason for traveling over break.

Nakisa Rafiee (Cohort 36), Medha Tumkur (Cohort 36), and Ishaan Kapur (Cohort 36) all spent their spring break in Miami, Florida. They had been planning this trip since the winter because they wanted to go somewhere warm and sunny for spring break and escape the Maryland weather. When asked about the trip, Rafiee had a fun story to share. “While walking down the streets of downtown Miami, we saw another QUEST student sitting at a restaurant. It was crazy because we had no idea they were in Miami too.”

Hrithik Bansal (Cohort 34) used his time off to hang out and spend time with some friends in California. He took a flight to LA and then drove to San Diego right after landing at LAX. Bansal drove along the Pacific Coastal Highway 1, which is known to be one of the most scenic drives in the entire United States. “You will find actors and social media influencers just walking around in LA. I met a TikTok star Sasha Drachnik while walking on the Venice boardwalk. In another instance, we saw rapper The Game perform in San Diego – we had no idea he would be where we were.”
