A Fun-Filled Fall with Our QUEST Student Orgs

With the end of the fall semester, now is the perfect time to look back and see all of the exciting events that QUEST students got to partake in this semester. I had a chance to speak to the leaders of a few different QUEST student organizations to reflect with them!

QUEST Corporate

The QUEST Corporate student committee plans events to connect students with corporate partners and alumni and help prepare them for opportunities in the professional world.

This semester, QUEST Corporate had three big events. They kicked off the year with a Networking Prep Event with alumni from Accenture Federal Services (AFS). That was followed by their biggest event of the year, the annual QUEST Networking Event where everyone came back for the first time in-person since COVID. A week later, QUEST Corporate hosted a Case Interview Workshop with Capital One. Students got to work closely with employees there to learn more about how to approach case interviews. Throughout the rest of the semester, they also hosted visits in the QUEST Lab from Bloomberg and Gallup. Next semester, they look forward to launching their third annual mentorship program, with over 50 students signed up to be paired with an alum.

QUEST Creative

QUEST Creative provides all QUEST students with a creative outlet, giving the chance to connect and give back to the community through art and design.

This semester, QUEST Creative held a few events to help students relieve stress and take some fun breaks. In October, they held a pumpkin painting event, and just this past week, there was a gingerbread decorating event on Reading Day!

QUESTech

QUESTech provides opportunities for all students, regardless of major, to learn about new and innovative technology.

This semester, QUESTech held an alumni panel event, where they brought back alumni in the fields of software engineering, data science, and product management. During this event, current students had the opportunity to ask questions about the alum’s career paths and gain advice. They also hosted a Lego building competition to allow QUEST students to relax during finals season and celebrate the upcoming holidays with hot chocolate and cookies.

QUEST Recruiting

QUEST Recruiting is a fun way to get involved with both current and future QUEST students. Their goal is to recruit enthusiastic and talented students so QUEST can continue to thrive for many years to come!

This semester, they really focused on recruitment for the applications, which just opened here! They held three information sessions, a number of tabling events (including ClarkLEAD, the First Look Fair, in Iribe, and outside Yahentamitsi Dining Hall), and also had time to squeeze in a little bit of team bonding!

Thank you to all of the student leaders for the chat, and I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say that we can’t wait for what’s to come next semester!
