Trans Maryland Internship Spring 2025
Description:
Trans Maryland is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for transgender, gender
non-conforming and nonbinary people all across the state of Maryland. Every year, we work with
a variety of leaders and community members in pursuit of our mission. We work with state
legislators to advance policy around a variety of trans equity topics, with state agencies to
implement recently passed legislation, with county and state-level commissions and boards to
promote trans/queer/LGBTQIA+ equity initiatives, and directly with thousands of trans
Marylanders as they seek name and gender-marker changes on their ID documents, build trans
community, and share access to resources.
We are seeking 2-4 undergraduate or graduate interns who:
● Either have lived experience in trans and queer topics, or have strong allyship and a
learning mindset. Being trans or queer is not required, though it is preferred, as we are
