The Liu lab as of April 2024

Dr. Liu joined the UMD chemistry faculty in Spring 2024. Our state-of-the-art quantum measurement lab is located on the basement level of the new chemistry building. We are looking for motivated students and postdocs to join us on our unique adventure at the interface of chemistry and physics. A background in one of the following (or related) subjects is recommended: atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics, physical chemistry/chemical physics. Prior skills in one or more of the following areas is helpful: lasers, high vacuum, electronics, computer programming, machining.

Students interested in joining my group for their PhD research should apply to one of the graduate programs here at UMD, e.g., chemical physics, chemistry, physics.

If you are a student of the Chemical Physics (CHPH) graduate program, please consider doing a rotation in my lab in Spring 2024!

Please reach out to Dr. Liu at yuliu [at] umd.edu for more information.
